No Exhibition in Berlin

The journey to Berlin wasn't exactly worthwhile. Unfortunately the exhibition with the entries from the Math contest didn't happen. It is postponed to next year (May 2009) and might then be associated with a vernissage. The question remains how the winner cartoon looks like.

Year of Mathematics

Last Friday there was the awards ceremony of the Cartoon contest announced by the German Mathematician Society (DMV) on the occasion of the "Year of Mathematics". I submitted several cartoons of which one made it to the short list. This cartoon is presented on an exhibition within the Lichthof (atrium) of the Technical University of Berlin showing all 20 cartoons of the short list. With luck I will be there at the end of November (the exhibition starts on 07.11. and ends on 05.12.08) trying to make some snapshots for the homepage...
